19-11-2024 Emotional Wellbeing and your child

Join Our Voice and representatives of the Educational Psychology Service and My Young Minds Enfield for this event focusing on supporting your child's emotional wellbeing, and helping them manage their fears and worries. 

When: Tuesday 19th November from 10 am to 12.30 pm (registration from 9.30 am) 

Where: Ponders End Youth Centre, 129 South Street, EN3 4PX (near Oasis Hadley Academy).

9.30 – 10 Arrival and registration

10 – 11.15 – overview and Q&A session

 Q&A session with a panel of senior individuals from the Educational Psychology Service and MYME. This session will look at general questions relevant to a broad audience - we will not be able to discuss specific individual circumstances (please book a one-to-one if you have an individual question)

11.15 – 11.30 coffee break

11.30 – 12.30 – Top tips for supporting your child with their worries and fears

This workshop will be led by Katie Kavanagh , Senior Children's Wellbeing Practitioner and Kajal Patel, Education mental Health Practitioner, both from the My Young Mind Enfield (MYME). MYME is a Mental Health Support team operating in most Enfield schools, and is part of Enfield Child Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) providing early intervention support for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

We will look at strategies for supporting our children and young people with their worries and fears.

11.30 – 12.30 1:1 appointments

Members of the Educational Psychology Team will be on hand for pre-booked one-to-one appointments to talk about specific individual issues relating to your child or young person. A limited number of slots are available and although we will accommodate as many as possible, there may not be sufficient places for everyone.
